Whole Story

Jake (16) lives with his parents in a small terraced house in Banstead, Surrey. His dad is a raging alcoholic and he has an abusive relationship with his mother. As a way of expressing his feelings and emotions, he turns to graffiti art. However, this results in him going out every night, breaking the law and putting his life in danger. As the story develops, Jake becomes heavily involved and almost ‘famous’ in the graffiti scene. He gets invited on a trip to Barcelona with various other graffiti artists to experience painting graffiti in different cities, has his artwork published in magazines around the world and attends a ‘Hall of Fame’ event.
However, Jake starts to become ‘out of control’. He meets a girl who introduces him to cocaine, and Jake starts to become addicted. He attempts to quit graffiti and the culture surrounding it altogether on a few occasions. However, Jake cannot seem to get away from his past, and he starts to loose his grip with reality. As a result, his father plans to send him off to Australia to stay with his Uncle. The night before he is planned to leave, he goes out one more time to paint trains in a London Underground depot. While he is painting, he and friends spot police coming down the embankment. He runs off in the other direction and gets hit by a tube train.
